Classroom and Financial Policies

Please read carefully, sign, and return with your registration.

The goal of our music classes is to bring the best early childhood music and movement education possible to children and their caregivers.

Financial Policies

       A non-refundable registration fee payment of $30 is required with your registration form to secure your spot in class.

       Tuition is due by the first day of class.  A payment plan may be arranged as follows if needed: 50% paid on the first day of class; the remaining 50% can be paid on the same day in the form of a post-dated check to be held by the studio until the following month.

       Tuition may be prorated for students enrolling after the first week of class.  A $10 late registration fee will be charged in addition to the $30 non-refundable registration fee.

       Cancellations made 14 days or more before the FIRST class will be refunded.  There will be NO REFUNDS after the first week of classes.

Classroom Policies

       A mandatory parent orientation is required for new students registering for class.  If you are unable to attend, please contact the studio to make other arrangements.  This class is for parents only; please make arrangements for your child/children to be cared for during this short meeting unless they are still a “lap baby”.

       Inclement weather:  Classes are held in the Snohomish school district.  Therefore, in the case of inclement weather, class will be cancelled if the Snohomish school district cancels school for the day.  Classes will be rescheduled at the instructor’s convenience.

       Illness:  Your instructor is allowed one sick day per semester.  If the instructor is too ill to teach, you will receive notification by phone as far in advance as possible.

       If your child is ill, please keep him at home for his own safety and the safety of others.  (Sniffles are fine!)  If your child has a communicable disease such as measles or chicken pox, please contact the studio so that we can inform the other parents in your class.  Fees for missed classes will not be refunded.

       Please be courteous and make sure it is okay with the other parents in your class before taking photos of their children.

       Please make sure all food and toys (breast milk and formula excepted) are placed out of reach during class time.

       Please do not bring musical instruments from home which are not part of our program.  Small children find the one “different” item too enticing, and this can cause disruptions in class.  Musical instruments will be made available to each child and adult to use.

       Schmunk Studio is not responsible for any loss or injury incurred while participating in the program.  Your signature at the bottom acknowledges that you hold Schmunk Studio harmless from any liability, costs or claims, related either directly or indirectly to participation in music class, including legal or medical expenses incurred for the participant’s benefit.
